H.C. Verma is an Indian experimental physicist and he had worked as a professor at the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur from 1994-2017. He is one of the most distinguished authors of Physics in India. He is an idol for all the JEE aspirants because he has written several influential books on Physics and is best known for his two-volume book Concepts of Physics which are considered as the prerequisite for students preparing for IIT JEE or other engineering entrance examinations. It was a great honour for the students of India to interact with H.C. Verma on the stage of IIT Kanpur at TOSC. His session was full of enthusiasm and valuable knowledge. He motivated the youngsters who came for Techkriti Open School Championship (TOSC) and also interacted individually with them.
TOSC is a national level aptitude test and general awareness examination organised by IIT Kanpur for the students of class 9th to 12th. There are three rounds of TOSC and the students that clear the first two rounds, get a chance to come to IIT Kanpur. There are various prizes for students and a great chance for learning and honing their concepts. Through a series of events involving mental aptitude, logic, and scrutiny, it provided school students a platform to build fundamental experience and knowledge, to exercise co-ordination skills, and to think out of the box.
Techkriti organises TOSC every year. This was the fourth edition of TOSC. Techkriti is the annual international technical & entrepreneurship festival of IIT Kanpur and definitely the greatest exponent of exuberance and creativity of its students. Techkriti’s efforts, work, and thoughts, all are synced to one simple thing only – help our society as much as we can. To ensure that goal, Techkriti has set up an international platform for the people to innovate and compete. Techkriti hosts a plethora of Competitions, Exhibitions, Lectures and Shows. Lately, Techkriti has grown into one of the biggest and the most zestful student festivals in Asia. The upcoming 24th edition of Techkriti (15-18th of March, 2018) aims at creating opportunities for each and every student to come up with creative and innovative solutions for a better world.
